WHAT IS PLEXIGLASS?
We use 4mm thick plexiglass and can print any size from 20cm up to 2.5 metres.
Plexiglass is more translucent than glass and as such is widely used worldwide in the construction of aircraft, car manufacturing and solar panels. It is also widely used in LED TV screens because of it’s excellent light absorption qualities.
Plexiglass is fully recyclable.
Plexiglass is the best UV blocker. Unlike conventional picture glass, plexiglass completely filters out destructive UV rays and provides 99% UV protection to protect against unsightly yellowing. Because of this, each piece we supply comes with a 30 year guarantee against fading.
Plexiglass boasts over 92% optical light transmission which means your artwork will take on a different aspect depending on the time of day.
Plexiglass is less than half the weight of traditional float glass – lighter weight means less transportation costs and risks.
Each piece comes with a unique baton hanging system on the reverse which gives a floating effect when hung.
